Class Descriptions |

|
Classes and Levels. All of our yoga classes are Kundalini Yoga classes -- and are taught in the tradition of Yogi Bhajan. You are most welcome to participate in any class. While some classes may challenge you more than others, it is our experience that with consistent practice you will improve both your physical conditioning and your ability to meditate. We provide "levels" to give some general guidance in finding the appropriate class. |

The Chakras: The word chakra means wheel or disk, and it signifies one
of seven basic energy centers in the body. These energy centers exert a
profound influence in our lives, and in this class, you will learn
about, experience, and gain some mastery over their impact on your daily
life. Level (II/III) This class is for students who are familiar with Kundalini Yoga and want to deepen their experience and knowledge. Each class includes a solid yoga set followed by a wonderful meditation. You will improve your physical strength and emotional well being in this class. |

| Stretch and Strengthen Yoga | ||||||||
|
If you are starting to feel a lack of flexibility, balance, or strength in your body, this is the Kundalini Yoga class for you. This class will consistently practice the yoga exercises that increase range of motion in the joints, strengthen the core muscles, and release chronic tension from the larger muscle groups. We will also explore breath work, meditation and relaxation techniques. |
||||||||
|
Level (II) This
class is for intermediate students who have a little more yoga
experience that a beginner and a sound level of fitness and who would
like to explore in greater depth -- yoga postures, kriyas, breath work,
chanting, and meditation. |

| Healing Through Awareness | ||||||||
|
This class is a practice session of a yogic healing technique Sat Nam Rasayan® (taught to us by Guru Dev Singh Khalsa), that uses the transcendent consciousness to heal. We hold a contemplative state of consciousness, which allows the release of resistance to self and to reality. Resistance in the form of differentiation, preconceptions, conditions, boundaries, and limits may change or disappear. The student is trained to heal purely through Awareness. Experienced and Inexperienced students interested in healing are welcome. |
||||||||
| Meditation on Sound and Song (II) | ||||||||
| Relax and give voice to your soul’s longing through music mantra and song. Following a short yoga series to help us unwind from the workweek, we will meditate together. Chanting or silently vibrating with ancient sounds to suspend the mind in bliss. All are welcome. | ||||||||
| Morning Sadhana Practice For All | ||||||||
|
The regular daily practice of yoga and meditation is both a great gift and a great challenge. Daily morning "Sadhana" is just that, a daily yoga and meditation practice, available to all, everyday. There is no fee for this practice. Because this is a daily practice for dedicated yoga students, guidance during the morning hours is minimal. "You show, you practice, you grow". Speak with your yoga teacher for details. We begin with a 20-minute morning prayer, followed by 40 minutes of yoga, and 1 hour of musical chanting meditations. |
